Tech-Aero - Ignition Battery Eliminator Circuits for CDI ignitions ( IBEC) - includes opto kill switch amongst its great features.
Every Tech-Aero Ultra IBEC HV is assembled at our US based electronics assembly house with the highest of quality standards
(remember this saves you both the cost of an additional ignition battery as well as a seperate opto kill switch) also means there is one less battery to charge and less weight in the airframe.
”Ultra IBEC HV”Features
Eliminatesthe need for a separate ignition batteryand mechanical on/offignition switch. Compatible with the power requirementsofsingle andmulti-cylinder model CDI ignition
modules viajumper selectable 5.9V,6.3V, 7.3V and 8V voltage outputs. Enhanced flexibility and safety via transmitter control ofCDI ignition power froma
spare receiver auxiliary channel.
Tech-Aero exclusive 4 stage filtering that includessignal lead optical isolationremoves interferencefrom CDI ignitionnoise in thewiring path to thereceiver, permitting use with 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum and 72 MHz FM radio receivers.*
oFilter stages1 & 2:An advanced 2ndordercommonmode LCpower lead filter.
oFilter stage 3:Triple powerfiltercapacitors form a low pass filter and enhance peak impulse current delivery to the CDI module.
oFilter stage 4:An optical isolator circuitprevents any straynoise from feeding backinto sensitive receiver electronics via the signal lead.
A high precision, very lowdropout power regulator design further assures power receiver busisolation with superior performanceduring peak currentdemand.
One IBECmodel fits all: compatible with all battery chemistries commonly used for radio control use, witha practical input voltage range from6V to8.4V.A 2SLiPo / LiIon receiver batteryor equivalent supply voltage isrecommended overall and is required for 7.3V and 8V operation.2S LiFe and 5S NiCad /NiMh batteries are compatiblewith the 5.9Vor 6.3V output settings. 4 cell NiCad / NiMh batteries can be usedwith some legacy CDI’s, butwillnot be voltage regulated at the IBECoutput.
